Take a better application photo at home

1. Use the right background

Stand a few feet in front of a plain white or off-white wall. Keep shadows, texture, frames, and furniture out of the shot.

2. Face soft light

Use daylight from a window or two lamps in front of you. Avoid overhead-only light and strong side shadows.

3. Keep the camera steady

Ask someone to take the photo, or place your phone at eye level. Use the back camera and highest quality setting.

4. Leave room around the head

Look straight at the camera with both eyes open and mouth closed. Keep your whole head and shoulders visible.

5. Do not retouch

Do not use beauty filters, AI edits, background replacement, or face changes. This tool only crops, resizes, and compresses.

6. Check the official source

Rules change by country and application type. Always compare the export with the official portal before submitting.

ApplyReady processes your image in your browser. We do not upload, store, or review your photo. We may record anonymous product events, such as the selected preset and whether an export succeeded, so we can improve the tool.

We cannot guarantee acceptance. Government or application staff make the final decision, and some portals may ask for a new photo.
